Reunion of the Tribes
Dreams & Divinities is collaborating with the artist collective Seeds of the Anaconda to bring beauty and vision to the 2017 prophetic reunion of the five indigenous Colombian tribes of the Sierra: Kogi, Wiwa, Arhuaco, Kankuamo and Mhuysqas.
The tribes hold a prophecy that in these dark days the alienated Mhuysqas will be able to reunite with their people. The Mhuysqas are the water healers from the Bagota region. Bagota is surrounded by water, lagoons and moorlands and this tribe was its keeper and protector. However, as the Spanish took over their indigenous lands the Mhuysqas were forced to disperse and leave their lands and spread their wisdom through different territories of Colombia.
Their prophecy says there will be a time between the 2012 shift and 2020 when humanity will be going through a process of awakening and unification. During this time there will be prophetic gatherings in the traditional meeting grounds of the Sierra Nevada of not only these five tribes but of many tribes from all over Colombia and around the world. This prophecy recalls the prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor which according to the Shipibo, includes both aboriginal and indigenous tribes and non-Indian tribes from around the world coming together for peace and the restoration of unity, respect and harmony with each other and Pachamama.
The gathering will be an intergenerational gathering of peoples of all ages to unite and learn from elders and each other. There will be sharing of stories, dance, art, song and ancestral wisdom.
Drams & Divinities and Seeds of the Anaconda will also be organizing mural painting, and workshops as well as the gallery.
